Nike is a series of six digital prints developed alongside the moving-image work Victory. Taking the wings of the Nike of Samothrace as its central form, the series explores how a fragment of classical sculpture can move between archaeological object, digital body and speculative artefact. Reconstructed and animated in 3D, the wings are detached from their original monument and suspended between landing and flight. Their movement is slowed, fragmented and transformed, shifting between solidity and dissolution.
The prints isolate moments from this digital metamorphosis. Across two related triptychs, Nike and Victory, the ancient symbol becomes weightless and unstable: a classical remnant reimagined within a synthetic landscape.
